May Update

Our latest event to be held was at the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven. On a very sunny afternoon in May we travelled down from Cardiff to meet a group of young adults and Rehab Officers to discuss how the project could support them.

Once everyone was full of tea, coffee and biscuits we began the discussion.
We discovered that direct payments and benefits were two of the key major topics wanting and needing to be covered in this area, along with housing, healthcare and employment opportunities.

We were greeted by Tracey Martin Smith a rehab officer for pembrokeshire and a habilitation officer from Carmarthenshire. They were really keen to get involved and see what we could all do together to involve more young people.

Our plan now is to hold another two small events similar to this in Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. Following these events later in the year we hope to organize a bigger event involving the three county’s.
